College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences

The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Gilgamesh was established in the academic year 2019–2020 as one of the leading colleges in preparing qualified scientific and athletic professionals. The college admitted its first cohort of students in both morning and evening programs from various secondary education streams, in addition to attracting talented athletes and champions from different sports. The college aims to prepare graduates with strong scientific knowledge and practical competencies in physical education and sports sciences, qualifying them to work in educational and sports institutions and contribute to the development of the educational and sports sectors in Iraq. The college is distinguished by its advanced infrastructure, including indoor sports halls, modern indoor and outdoor playgrounds built according to international standards, an Olympic swimming pool, fitness halls, and integrated training facilities, which enhance the practical aspect of the educational process. The duration of study is four years, after which students are awarded a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Sports Sciences, qualifying them to work in teaching, coaching, and sports management fields.
